Nashville Strong by Good Wood Nashville
Our Corporate Nashville Strong Sign. Half of all the Revenue (Not profit) was given away to whomever people chose. Over $25,000 went directly to Individuals, businesses, restaurants.
Why Nashville Strong? Why Signs? Why give away Half of the money?
On March 3, my home was hit by the tornado that ripped through Nashville. My friends came out and one of them, Josh Newman from ST8MNT, had made a template, rallying us to all help our neighbors, and titled it Nashville Strong. 11 days later, most of the world shut down due to Covid 19. Good Wood Nashville was also struggling, and I feared going bankrupt, but we decided to try to do good, instead of worry. We created a program that sold plywood signs displaying Nashville Strong, and donated half of all the proceeds to individuals and businesses.
The team at Good Wood Focused on orders and making the signs, and the community loved the idea and bought over 50k worth of signs. We sent checks to dog walkers, housekeepers, coffee shops, restaurants and bars. Everybody donated to their favorite person or place out of work or closed down due to Covid.
I’m proud that we tried to find good, do good, and see good during those first few months of Covid.
