Old Spaghetti Factory -Reclaimed Wood Available

Did you grow up going to The Old Spaghetti Factory downtown? Growing up in Brentwood, Tennessee, going “downtown” was a pretty big deal for us. We always ended up at one of the two places around: Hard Rock Cafe, or The Old Spaghetti Factory. There was always an older man playing guitar out front, and for some reason, my memory tells me he had plastic draped over his guitar for some reason.

Anyways, this year, I got a very unique call. Developers of the building asked me if I’d like to help save the old joists that held up the building. They are renovating for some residences, and did not need a number of 10 to 25 foot long joists. Of course, I hurried downtown!

Using a crane, the contractor loaded the joists onto our trailer. We made several trips, and now have all of the wood safe and sound in our Nashville lumber store.

The wood was likely cut in the 1800’s, from trees that could have easily been hundreds of years old. That means that these trees could be from the 1500’s or 1600’s, easily. So far, we have found Poplar, Heart Pine, and Oak. If anyone needs a 25 foot table, let us know!

These joists are available for sale.

You can see how long these are! 25’ long joists available for sale!
